Bursting

Oh wow...college is so exciting. It's almost here. Less than a month. I leave September 9th. AHHHHHH!!!

I've been packing and emailing and researching and squealing and chatting and reading and planning and giving myself massive headaches. And loving every minute of it.

I want to participate in NSTV (sketch comedy!!), Lovers and Madmen (a group that puts on Shakespeare shows!!), A Cappella groups, take dance classes, work in catering, crew some shows, swim in the pool, explore Evanston and Chicago, bond with my fellow Chapinos, go to parties and the Dance Marathon (!!), study abroad, double major, take voice lessons, and oh yeah, take classes...and SO MUCH MORE. It's insane. I love it. :D

I'm wearing my contacts right now. My NEW contacts. My astigmatic ones (bigger, thicker, more specific placement). Successfully. Who knew I could be so brave? That I had such an iron will? Because for me, this was a big deal. A big fear. And I have conquered it! I am so surprised. And proud. :)

Also...as self-centered as this sounds...I'm pretty. With glasses, I'm quirky. Without them, I'm...something else. Not necessarily striking or gorgeous or anything...but connected more to the world around me. And pretty. :D What a discovery.

Life is beautiful. And so exciting.
